Pestonji Bomanji an Indian realist oil painter studied at the Elphinstone School and later joine dthe renowned J.J. School of Art to pursue sculptoring and becoming a painter. He also worked on the Ajanta mural expedition in 1872. The above painting does not have a title and seems to have been inspired by a normal evening of stroll. It depicts a beautiful, calm ornage lit sky and as the sun sets with trees stood still just like time and vaguely visible hills encompasses the whole emotion experienced by the artist while admiring the natural scenery.
