Homes

Support Type: Wood Panel
Paint Type: Enamel Paint
Current Location: DAG Museum Collection
Location History:The work is documented in the DAG Museum Collection. It was later recorded in the collection/research databases of the Tuli Research Centre, which also identifies a 1964 Untitled by Piraji Sagara as a painting.

Saraga is considered to be one of India’s most prominent sculptors and painters and pioneers of post- independence Indian modern art. His artworks usually consist of abstract paintings on wood reliefs and include a keen interest in texture and geometry. This artwork marked by precise and sharp geometry depicts the relationship between people and their homes. The bright colours and abstarct human figures are in line with Sagara's art style.
