Painted during the late 16th century, Francesco Albani focussed on highlighting the religious and pious events of Christianity. This artwork showcases baroque style of painting and hence is defined by highly ornate and theatrical style famously popularised by the Catholic Church and absolute monarchs of the contemporary society. It shows the Holy Trinity and Mother Mary while the musician angels are in the middle of action. This effect is emphasised by chiaroscuro to facilitate awe and intense passion among viewers just like other baroque arts. The painting shows Christ the Son(left), God the Father(middle) and Mother Mary(right) seated on top of the clouds exemplifying their divine status and elevating them from others. The action of the "Musician angels" resemble misé-en-scene like composition as if they're painted amidst the action of playing music. The oil on copper medium and use of right blend of colours bear the testament of the artist's talent.
