This piece titled ' The Confrontation of the Infant Shapur The Second ' is from the Shahnameh.The Shahnameh is a very significant Persian text. It narrates a royal tale, more like a documentation of the family history itself. Muzaffar Ali is a highly refined artist of the Mughal school of painting . The paintings of the Safavid school had a distinct characteristic. The texts mentioned in the painting add to the meaning and significance of the painting. Having been commissioned in the early 1520s , the painting depicts the coronation of the young prince. However, the servant figures are given significance , as they are prominently depicted .
