Location History:The painting was originally created and kept in the royal court of the princely state of Kishangarh in central Rajasthan, India, during the mid-18th century before eventually being moved to the national collection in New Delhi for public preservation

A classic Rajasthani Miniature Painting, Radha is depicted beautifully, with devotion. One hand holds up her odhni and one holds lotus buds, a very elegant and exquisite affair. She is thoroughly adorned with intricate jewellery, and therefore this painting is finely detailed. Her expression exudes elegance and her clothing seperates her from the colder background. After a closer look, the prints on the odhni are the most captivating detail, makes people wonder about the artist's level of skill and detail. Her fingertips are red, and her nose ring is another captivating detail on her face. This painting is a hallmark of Rajasthani Miniature Style.
