Pahari miniature painting by the Purkhu of Kangra, Krishna Approaches Indra for Help. The scene is depicted in the painting is from the Harivamsa purana, one of the texts linked to Harivamsa Mahabharata and Krishna stories. In this composition, Krishna appears to be approaching Indra in a heavenly architectural structure. In the lower left corner of the painting, Krishna is depicted seated on Garuda, the eagle, and surrounded by other celestial beings and figures. In the lower left corner of the painting, Krishna is seated on Garuda, the eagle, while Indra and other figures are depicted in a richly decorated palace or celestial court. The clouds around the building contribute to the overall atmosphere and suggest that the building may be in the sky.
Numerous figures are arranged in a precise manner in the painting: attendants, members of the divine court. They are moving through space and are active with their clothes, movements and positions. Strong colours of reds, pinks, blues, greens and muted whites permeate the entire piece. The floor is also patterned and the architecture is decorated, adding to the richness of the scene. This work can be attributed to the Kangra tradition of Purkhu. Purkhu was active between 1780-1820 and had close association with the court of Maharaja Sansar Chand of Kangra. He painted both religious and courtly pictures in his studio. He is known for his detailed figures, scenes of story and unique landscapes and clouds. The painting exemplifies the narrative and sumptuous pictorial elaboration of Kangra painting.

There can be a slight confusion between who Krishna is in tdis imfge. There are 2 blue/dark skinned figures, one seated on the Garuda and other in Indra's darbar. Since Krishna is Vishnu's avatar, it probably can be the one seated on Garuda.
But one cant deny his leela ans ability to be simultaneously at 2 places.
This work also resembles the mughal style of painting.
