Divine Flame is a watercolour painting by Indian artist Sawlaram Lakshman Haldankar. It depicts a woman bending to light to a flame – a common ritual in Indian households. Modelled by Haldankar’s daughter, Lilavati, the woman dons a serene expression, with the glow of the lamp lighting up her face.
