The painting "Coronación de la Virgen" by renowned Mexican artist Nicolás Enríquez, one of the best well-known painters to paint on copper during the 18th- century and a member of the first Academy of painters to be established in Mexico. In this specific artwork, Enríquez used a metal surface to paint the scene, in which the Crowning of the Virgin Mary can be seen. Positioned at the center of the composition, Mary kneeling on the clouds in the sky full of humility as she receives the crown to become the Queen of Heavens from the Holy Trinity.
