Bahram Gur Before His Father, Yazdigird I depicts the young Bahram Gur appearing before his father, the Sasanian king Yazdigird I. The scene emphasizes royal authority, hierarchy, and the relationship between father and son. The richly decorated setting, vibrant colours, elaborate costumes, and detailed figures reflect the luxurious visual language of the Shah Tahmasp Shahnama. The miniature combines historical storytelling with Persian artistic traditions, presenting the royal court as a space of grandeur, power, and order.
