This painting was created in the High Renaissance period by Tiziano Vecellio. His popular name is also known as Titan. The painting is called The Worship of Venus and was painted in 1516-1518 with the use of oil on canvas. With the use of rich colours and warm hues, the painting portrays love and nature by depicting angels gathering apples around Venus. The angels are gathering on the grass and flying around the garden. With extraordinary details and soft brush work, the artwork is based on the description by the writer Philostratus. There are also two women surrounding Venus with their personal offerings to her.
