The creation of Adam is a masterpiece done by Michelangelo, as a classic rendition of the Renaissance period. Since it is a part of a ceiling decoration situated in the Sistine Chapel and painted as a fresco, a method in which colour is directly applied to wet plaster. This is done so that the pigments penetrate deeper and hold for a long period with a fine finished rendition. Further, it is a mythological rendered composition from the biblical story. Also, it is considered the most famous work in Western art history. The rendering of colours reflects soft application, but strong and powerful expressions at the same time. Also, the work represents the strong touch of the Renaissance, along with an interest in humanism and human beauty to some extent. Beyond all this, the composition is a rendition of a movement from God towards Adam in a very mystical manner. And in the composition, one could see that Adam’s body has been rendered in a very strong yet ideal human anatomy. Further, the finish of muscles and anatomy reflects an interest of Michelangelo towards the anatomical rendition process. Also, the most important element of the composition is the little gap between the two fingers, which further a symbol of moment just before life is given, hence which is considered as the ultimate moment. So, when we focus on god, they have rendered along with angels surrounding them. And the rendition of God is also done as an elderly person, and a red cloth around them shows the traits of a scholarly divine being. Therefore, this master rendition symbolises humanity and the ultimate connection with God in a form of art.
