The backstory of this painting goes something like,once Indra the gods of the gods got enraged and the people of Gokul and ordered harsh rains that would bring floods amd during this time Shri Krishna uplifted the Govardhan parvat on his pinky finger to give shelter to his fellow village people and later seeing all of it Indra stopped the rains.
