The painting shows heroic loyalty and a collective conflict. It shows Hamza’s allies fighting in support of Qasim and Badi'uzzaman beneath a pavilion, with additional rival groups drawn into the brawl. This makes the scene less a single duel than a compressed image of an entire narrative crisis. The painting’s crowded composition, vivid opaque watercolours, and gold details create a sense of sensory excess appropriate to an epic adventure. Rather than using realistic spatial depth, the artists arrange figures in overlapping groups so that the viewer can follow several simultaneous actions across the page. This visual density mirrors the structure of oral storytelling. it also reflects the Mughal court’s investment in spectacular storytelling, imperial patronage, and the dramatic possibilities of manuscript painting. Kind of shows the tradition of visualisation for our stories
