The artwork "Christ and the Samaritan Woman", in my personal interpretation, depicts a biblical scene where the acceptation of all individuals to the Christian religion can be seen. From the body language and posture that the main figure, Christ, can be seen at, reflects his understanding and empathic character. The background covered in gold and bright colors, presents the viewer with context of the main character that is involved, as in contrast with his simple clothes, in his presence the sky turns gold. The characters that can be found under the castle on the left side, could represent the wealthier class which are waiting for Christ , the figure of power, to approach them or quietly go as no one would have predicted the impact it would have had in the world. The Samaritan women, in her way to earn money for her family or just bringing water, crosses paths with Christ and for her good character and soul he seems to share an insightful conversation with her. This painting reflects in my opinion the differences between classes during Christ's time and his acceptance for all kinds of people, no matter their background, religion or social status.
