We see a peaceful scene of Akbar and his sons. The red carpet stands out in front of a plain blue sky. Akbar appears to be an entity of Tranquility and peace. I do wish that the curator would have added more historical context to the painting to understand what is the crisis that is mentioned in the last half of the painting description. Perhaps then we can have a better idea of the intensity and metaphor the painter is trying to convey through his art.
