Akbar Orders Punishment of Adham Khan, from the Akbarnama, is a dramatic Mughal miniature illustrating Emperor Akbar's response to the murder of his trusted minister, Ataga Khan, by his foster brother Adham Khan. Produced around 1590–95 and associated with the artists Miskin and Shankar, the painting employs continuous narrative, showing successive moments of the event within a single architectural setting.
