Location History:Pingla, West Bengal

This painting shows the post-indepence India, right before globalisation. It uses bright colours, eccentric characters and simplistic rendering, conveying the message of a simpler time, where the presence and company of one another was enough. It shows a soft, sweetened love that has cured over time. It is mesmerising and serene, even with the use of such bold colours. It holds indian heritage to the core with clothes adorned and jewellery worn. It shows love, pure and sweet.
