Young Akbar Recognizes His Mother is a Mughal dynasty artwork attributed to Indian artist Madhava, created with watercolour, ink, and gold on paper. It captures a scene from the Akbarnama, where Emperor Akbar, when he was a young child, recognises his mother after three years of separation after his father was overthrown. This painting served as proof of Emperor Akbar’s greatness from a young age. https://asia-archive.si.edu/interactives/worlds-within-worlds/qr/akbar-recognizes.html
