By the 1630s, Sahibdin had developed a more expansive narrative style in which separate registers or pictorial zones were used to distinguish different moments in time and space within a single composition. "The Manifest Deceived Heroine" painted around 1640 as part of a Rasikapriya manuscript shows this change. It keeps the Mewar style of putting figures in lines and using bright, stylized colors on people. Sahibdin splits the picture into scenes that show Radha's feelings when Krishna is not there. The way Sahibdin puts moments of a story into one page shows Sahibdin's mature style while Maharana Jagat Singh I reigned. During that time Sahibdin became the artist in the Mewar court and greatly shaped seventeenth‑century Mewari painting.
The painting shows the feelings of a woman who was tricked by her lover. This is shown through the story of Radha and Krishna. Of showing one moment, Sahibdin uses a story that goes on splitting the picture into many parts that happen in different places. Radha is in spots showing how her feelings change as she waits for Krishna and then deals with him not being there. The buildings and nature around her—like trees, flowers, paths, and buildings—help tell the story and make a place. The people in the painting are shown in a way that Sahibdin uses with clear movements and positions that show strong feelings.
Thus, the painting shows Sahibdin’s Mewar style, with bright colours, bold outlines, a flattened view, and a rhythmic arrangement of figures and landscape. The painting uses spatial levels so that many moments in time can appear together in a single picture.
"The Manifest Deceived Heroine" by Sahibdin is a visually expressive painting that captures the emotional pain of a heroine experiencing disappointment and betrayal. The delicate figures, rich colours, and detailed surroundings reflect the refined style of Rajasthani miniature painting. Sahibdin successfully communicates the heroine’s inner sadness through her posture and facial expression without making the scene overly dramatic. I particularly appreciate the balance between decorative beauty and emotional storytelling. The intricate details add charm and depth to the composition. However, the crowded visual elements can slightly distract from the central emotional moment. Overall, the painting is elegant, sensitive, and effective in portraying human emotions.
