The Horse Fair is Rosa Bonheaur's artwork depicting the Parsian horse market on Boulevard de l'Hopital with monumental realism. The painting celebrates animal power and vitality. The composition draws inspiration from Gericault, Delacroix, George Stubbs and ancient greek sclupture : Parthenon frieze.
