The colour palette is characteristically vibrant, featuring bright reds, blues, greens, and gold leaf that enliven the costumes, armour, weapons, and horse gear, showcasing the refinement and jewel-like quality of the early Mughal miniature style. The level of detail in the costumes, weapons, and equestrian gear is meticulous, reflecting the high production standards of Akbar's imperial workshop.

Trees, gardens, shrubs, and a fortified city or fort rise behind the combatants, depicted in the serene and decorative style typical of Mughal landscape art.
