Gwon Don-in (1783–1859) was an influential Joseon scholar, calligrapher, and painter committed to evidence-based learning (*geumseokhak*). A close confidant of Kim Jeong-hui, Gwon reflected the restrained, moral aesthetic of scholar-artists through graceful calligraphy and rare paintings. Though much of his portfolio was lost, his remaining work offers vital historical insights.
