Yi Jing (also known as Lee Jeong) was a member of the Joseon royal family and one of the most famous painters of the mid-Joseon period. He was especially known for his beautiful bamboo paintings made with gold ink. In his paintings, bamboo symbolized honesty, strength, and resilience.
