Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains artwork is mostly dominated by the mountain in the right and balanced by the landscape. The blank space on the left side looks like a lake and the distant hill creates a depth in the artwork. this creates a background, middle ground and foreground, which allows viewer's eye to travel through from foreground village to the distant mountain. The trees are painted with loose yet controlled brushstrokes. Dense clusters of dark foliage contrast with the lighter mountain slopes.
