This work is a minimalist, generative exploration of classical form rendered through a contemporary digital lens. The portrait, inspired by a Greco-Roman bust, is reconstructed entirely using a systematic raster pattern of evenly spaced geometric squares on a precise grid. The illusion of three-dimensionality is achieved solely through tonal clustering: dense black squares create the deepest shadows (jawline, eye sockets), while widely spaced micro-pixels represent the highlights and softer transitions. The resulting high-contrast, black-and-white aesthetic evokes early bitmap graphics and digital halftones, blending the rigor of mathematics with the timeless elegance of antique sculpture.
